Harshana Kumari Rathore Founded Oedeypore in 2018- a fashion brand with roots in Udaipur. Harshana, a graduate of a fashion school of business in Mumbai, had a strong passion for the fashion industry from a young age.
Harshana embarked on a mission to empower the women of a village called Bujra, located near Udaipur. She provided them with training and guidance, enabling them to work for Oodeypore from the comfort of their own homes. By engaging these women, Oodeypore not only supports their economic independence but also fosters a sense of community and empowerment. Through this unique approach, Oodeypore combines fashion and social impact, making a positive difference in the lives of the women of Bujra.

About the Label

Oodeypore aspires to grow into a family that creates lifestyle products that incorporate the aesthetics of Udaipur – the fabled city of lakes – into your wardrobes, your homes and your lifestyles. Their clothing line celebrates the traditional art of hand-block printing, while their garments are stitched by women that belong to Bujra. In recent years, even though the census data reflects that the literacy rate for women is on the rise, very few women are actually a part of the city’s workforce.
Oodeypore aims to bring about a positive difference, by successfully establishing a work-from-home network for women in Bujra. They try to promote and incorporate sustainable fashion within the business in every way they can. They create styles that transform traditional art and craft into products that align with a developed taste for our modern and chic clientele, generally, people who are looking for clothes that have a unique style and at the same time are vibrant and breathable.
They try to give back to society by empowering our women and by adopting methods that minimise waste and are environmentally conscious. At Oodeypore, they aim to show you a little bit of Udaipur through them, “Made by us with the labour of love. ” they said.
